Construction Hub v1.5 — IFC Import, Global Search, and Enhanced Document Workflow

Version 1.5 adds an IFC Import module with Excel export, global search across the entire system, breadcrumb navigation, email notifications for offers, bulk status changes in quantity surveys, and a new universal DataTable component.

We are excited to introduce Construction Hub v1.5 — a release that lays the foundation for our BIM integration, introduces powerful global search, and significantly improves daily work with documents and navigation throughout the system.

IFC Import — BIM Data Flows Directly Into the System

One of the most requested features is here. With the new IFC Import module, you can now upload IFC files directly into Construction Hub and extract structured data about building elements — walls, slabs, columns, MEP systems, and everything else modeled in the BIM environment.

What the New Module Can Do

  • Upload IFC files — directly in the browser, with no additional software required
  • Automatic element recognition — the system parses the IFC structure and extracts every element with its properties (material, dimensions, quantity)
  • Export to Excel — all extracted data can be exported in Excel format for further processing or sharing with partners
  • R2 cloud storage — uploaded files are stored securely in the cloud with fast access at any time

Why This Matters for Construction Companies

BIM models contain rich information, but accessing it typically requires expensive specialized software. With IFC Import in Construction Hub, this information becomes accessible to the entire team — from site engineers to the accounting department. Quantity data from the model can be used directly when creating quantity surveys and offers, which dramatically reduces manual work.

Global Search — Find Anything in Seconds

When you are managing dozens of projects with thousands of documents, partners, and line items, finding information quickly is critical. The new global search covers the entire system — documents, partners, contracts, invoices, offers, and inventory items.

Simply press the search shortcut and start typing. Results appear in real time, grouped by category, with direct links to the corresponding records.

What Gets Searched

CategoryExamples
DocumentsInvoices, expenses, proformas
ProjectsContracts, acts, offers
PartnersClients, suppliers, subcontractors
NomenclatureMaterials, services, machinery

Improved Navigation with Breadcrumbs

Navigation throughout the system has become significantly more intuitive. The new breadcrumbs show exactly where you are in the hierarchy — from the module down to the specific record. You can return to any level with a single click without losing the context of your work.

Email Notifications for Offers

Communication with clients is now more efficient. When you send an offer, the recipient receives an email notification with a direct link to the offer. No need for manually sending PDF files or additional coordination — everything happens automatically.

Payment Schedule in Offers

The new payment schedule feature allows you to define payment milestones directly in the offer — advance payment, interim payments upon reaching a certain completion percentage, and final payment. The client sees a clear financial picture before signing the contract.

Bulk Status Changes in Quantity Surveys

Working with quantity surveys that have dozens of line items is now much faster. The new bulk status change feature lets you select multiple items at once and change their status in a single action — approve, reject, or move to the next stage.

Stats Cards — Key Metrics at a Glance

Every module now features stats cards at the top of the list, showing the most important numbers — total record count, sums, averages, and trends. Instead of generating reports, the key information is visible at a glance.

Universal DataTable Component

Behind the scenes, we made a fundamental improvement — a new universal DataTable component that ensures consistent behavior across all tables in the system. Sorting, filtering, pagination, and column selection work the same everywhere, and performance is significantly improved when working with large datasets.

Help Pages — Assistance Always Within Reach

We added built-in help pages for the main modules. Instead of searching through documentation or waiting for a support response, you can find explanations and instructions directly in the system.

What's Next

Version 1.5 lays a solid foundation for further development — BIM integration will continue to expand, global search will become even smarter, and document workflows will gain new automations. Stay tuned for updates!
